Reading the blogs and threads it's hard for someone to understand why roids are so bad.   People not so knowledgeable say "Cause they cheated" and let it go at that.  I had some pretty bad experiences with kids and some adults who were doing steroids when I was a cop.  "Roid Rage" is real!  Alot of kids who were football players and wrestlers in high school started taking them and working out.  Since they didn't know what they were doing, alot of them ended up addicted to some other drug because of the pain caused by ripping their muscles so much.  One kid had a full wrestling scholarship to college, blew it because before wrestling season started shooting heroin and killed himself by shooting up with lysol toilet bowl cleaner and hanging himself from a tree.

Just some thoughts, especially after the physical problems Giambi had when he stopped taking them 2 years ago.  

Everyone has a pet peeve in life, Fair Weather Fans is mine.   I absolutely cannot stand people who jump on a teams bandwagon when they win, and switch teams when they lose.

Living in Connecticut, I've been able to see it with the Red Sox and Patriots over the last couple of years.  Before they were winning, you would see the die hard fans who followed the teams through all the bad years with the hats and shirts.  Now, you can't go anywhere without seeing the Hats, shirts, jackets, magnets, stickers, etc...   I don't have a problem with people being fans of these teams, it's just WHERE DID THEY ALL COME FROM??????????

I've been a Cowboy fan my whole life (Due to an uncle living in Dallas who sent me Cowboy stuff every holiday) and went through the 70's, 80's, 90's and now.  I still have a jacket I bought in the 80's when they really sucked.  Same with the Yankees, Went through the Reggie/Billy garbage, the 80's where they were so bad it hurt and still follow them today. 

Anybody else bothered by this, or is it time for me to get therapy?
